What is white sage used for?

How do you use a white sage smudge bundle?

Light one end of the bundle, let it catch, then gently blow out the flame so it smoulders. Slowly move the smoke around your space or yourself, then rest the bundle in a heat-proof bowl or shell to extinguish it.
